Nice craft beer offerings that change often, incredible wine selection, and easily the best bourbon and scotch section in the valley. The knowledgeable staff and remarkable prices make it even better.

They have a large selection, and can order some of what you want if your tastes are conventional. I was often pleasantly surprised at the unusual bottles I discovered on the packed and dusty shelves-- high-quality French-made Pernod, Jade absinthe and other products by the same remarkable distiller, nice fresh Chartreuse (it's awful when it goes off, thanks for nothing Festival Foods), some gorgeous premium sake, and nearly every kind of top-shelf artisan Scotch and Irish whiskey within reason. You might not find the precise brand, but you'd find its equal in quality.

huge selection of wine and spirits. great prices. friendly , helpful service..

Speaking of staff, they're the reason I didn't give five stars. I'm sure they had to deal with annoying people all the time, but at one point I spent hundreds of dollars there each month and was treated like an irritant. They're also not very knowledgeable about their stock, interested in stirring from their comfortable stools by the radio, or helpful in searching for information about certain liquors before placing an order. If I'm spending eighty dollars on a bottle of something I'd heard was made by this manufacturer and was this or that limited edition and I need it for an event or gift, I'd like to know I'm getting what I ordered. They were never too reassuring about that.

Unique little hole in the wall. They carry the items you won't find in other places. If you can't find it on the shelves, ask one of the owners...it may be in the basement!

Their sale shelf holds good markdowns, but they discourage bargain buyers by not selling cheap alco-pops and bottom quality high-octane beer. You won't find Steel Reserve here--nor will you generally find the people who buy it with a handful of nickels, which I think is the point. I don't blame them; there's quality stock that could walk out the door with a drunk in a big coat, and that sort of person isn't fun for staff or other customers to deal with.

Selection is awesome. Gentleman that helped us with our wine selection was very helpful. THE LADY AT THE CHECK OUT WAS CRABBY!
